quite interesting to see the internal cross section of this panel, whilst we restored the old, it would likely have been more economic to have replaced the whole section, however I feel where it is possible we fix the old rather than replace, granted not always possible .

this part is available as new, but we went for repair option here

front of outer sill welded up

inner sill to floor repaired

rear quarter repair

a little surface rust around the top of the rear deck lid

out with the old

bye bye little hole

decklid corner done

So still a long way from done,

getting to work on the rear latch panel
