Will you be wiring them up through a relay to a dash mouted switch or are they just going to be dummies for looks?

Regards
Mike

I think I will Mike . They came with a wiring kit that included everything bar a switch but I figured I could run them through my unused heated rear window switch .

Awh shucks chaps :)

I can't believe I'm having to miss this trip . Our weekends away over the last few years have been the highlight of my summer , but on this occasion there really is no way round it . I've got to be back in the office first thing on the Monday morning . :x

I'm working on one idea though . The Missus has always wanted to go to to Brugge for the weekend . Wouldn't it be great if I could book the same ferry out on Thursday and join you chaps for the first leg say until your lunch stop ?
Better than nothing I suppose . Fingers crossed .

Anyway , I'm sure Peter ( Petric ) will be available for top swearing lessons

Cheers

While most of you are off on your jollies in that Germany I thought I'd stay home and do something constructive . :)

The car was due an MOT so I stuck it in without any real prep work . Glad to say it passed straight away with no advisories

My original seats are a little tired but by no means beyond repair despite needing a pair of headrests to suit . I've been looking round for someone local to me to repair them relatively quickly as I didn't want to take the car off the road during this summer . I'm managing to use it for my commute pretty much every day . I toyed with the idea of period aftermarket seats but the cost was prohibitive . Whilst browsing the dreaded Ebay I spotted a pair of Recaros advertised as from a BMW but with seat adapters for early 911 . Now I know these are a touch modern ( '80's ? ) but for the price I paid and the condition they're in I'm pleased with the result . I'll store my old seats for now until I find someone to do the repairs .

Remove the old seats and rails . Pans are very good . Just needed a good clean .

The dog helped out by making sure the packaging didn't blow away

There was a BMW logo on the backrest adjusting knob so I found a couple of cheap 45mm diameter stickers to go over the top to tidy them up .

Next job is refurbing the seat belts or buying new ones . Anyone know of a supplier for these ?
Also looking for the trim ring round the ignition key switch if anyone has one .

Cheers
