Enough people on the do it/don't do it. I'm doing the opposite, mine was originally Ice Green, was resprayed Guards Red in the eighties and I am taking it back to its factory colour. I've been looking at Lime, Viper, Chartreuse and so on... in the end I was heartstruck when I saw the original green and stuck to it.

Decisions decisions...

I fully understand the dilemma on this one, I've already made the call last time my car was painted to stay silver rather than revert to Viper, but next time around? I don't know!

Irish Green surely! Although it could just be the light

That is Ian and he is responsible for the re-spray - and sending me the pictures. The other chap in the blue shirt (Ossi Blue?) is Mr A Keywood (Asst Group Operations Manager) and he is the guy at Reading that you need to talk to if you need a re-spray.

I asked if he was happy for me to share the price I was quoted and unfortunately he said that it was based on the state of the car and he would rather I didn't (they looked over my car for an hour before quoting). My quote was based on me stripping and re-assembling and needing no panel work or welding - just prep, filling and paint. Let's just say a LOT less than the £7k I hear another DDK user has been quoted (although that could have included strip etc).

Interestingly there was a well known DDK car also in for work - but I'll keep that quite in case the owner wants confidentiality.

Nah, Ossi is a darker blue

I'm only teasing but looking at that photo shows you just how drab our modern world of motor vehicles has become. I can only see a chink of colour in the whole workshop on two break callipers and a front wing. The rest is pure monotone.
