I had to do this to be able to stash both cars with the tops up. I also raised my garage door to hug the ceiling.

I also used a side car door opener to be able to park a longer car on top.

I think i'm in the wrong group

first car - Honda Accord

in silver no less, great car, paid little got laid, what more do you want

then a silver 205xs
mgbgt - loverly, did approx 45,00 miles and smelt 'old'
porsche - still the best car in the DDK

and i've still never had a bloody garage

Superb choice there Russ - really tasty! Love the Charger - have wanted one of those since, well, since "the Dukes of Hazzard". And the Willys - well, awesome...

Having said that, Mike, isn't the same type Honda as Bruce Willis/ "Butch" drove in Pulp Fiction? Too cool my friend, too cool...

Helen, you should have a look at Harry Pellows books. I know at least one of them has information on 356 police cars including period pictures. He owned one as well.
Will have a look to see which book it is.

Barry what I can't work out is how tight that garage is, well the blue car to get in with out denting it.. Now I can see how you managed to bump the wing that time.. that's tight!!

There is plenty of room, had I been paying attention.

It's much easier with the platform up. With it down the support cables encroach 2" on each side. That's what I rubbed, not the upright.

That's what made this ugly pattern.
