finished the engine bay to day got the boy to put on some red lead , semed all leading edges etc , owen nw

finished the last of the welding to the main body , coated the engine bay again wi.th.0 zinc primer and done in behind the seat area and rear shelf finished with finnigans stone chip owen nw

colm started work on the strippng of the bits and pieces of the 912 engine lid and degreasing it before sanding it down for me , returning the favor owen nw colm helper ???

sanded down the quaters again with 180 on the da sander , had a couple of minor bit s that need a bit of attention , while colm cleaned of the last of the dirt on the rear of the rear panel , handi haven him , owen nw colm the helper lol

while i worked on his 914 colm started grinding down the welds on the 912 floor and cleaning up the inner inner sill for paint , with this all tidied he coated the lot with red lead , next will be seam sealer colm owen nw

started to do some body work on the 912 , and got the in saide welded edges seam sealed and stone chipped , looking good see not to many have replied to eaither of my restos why owen nw

had a painfull couple of days , after everything going fairly smooth it all went down hill , da ed the black primer off, was put on in america , body is nice and straight , done some of the filling on the body went well , colm stripped the engine lid , . i then prepped for 2k primer, thats where it all went wrong, sprayyed it on and it all reacted with hte white paint underneath , not the original paint , the stuff some one painted it with before , so off it all came and started again fecImage

Wow. and it was going so well!

Just have to say that I love this thread. All the pictures make me live it with you. If you were nearer I'd do some sanding for you, but thankfully you're miles away!! :wink:

Keep up the good work, and you'll forget about all this when you're driving around with a big smile on your face!
