Your car looks incredible, I don't know how you're coping?
If it was me I'd be camped outside watching them and picture-texting Vic every ten minutes to check the components out!
Are you keeping it on the Wirral or down with you in France?

Hi Steve,
It's going to be between the two places - depending on work etc.
I have to go back to the South (almost wrote "sun" there...!) on Sunday 20th for work on Monday - if anyone's around the Wirral / Cheshire for a pub lunch that week, it'd be great to meet up for a natter.

On my 2nd but that has now lasted 11,000 miles so maybe problem has been solved ?
Wheel balance weights on the outside rims ?

Nigel i truly wanted to believe the coils were a bad batch delivered to Eurocarparts , they were definitely genuine Bosch parts, lets hope they re all gone !!!!!!!!!
They just failed one by one , invariably while in the fast lane and ijust died without any warning signs!
i Actually run with spare in the glove box!!!

Looks absolutely fantastic --- did you buy the car from Fresingers and have them restore it - or was it a car you owned and took to them ? Also how long has it taken them to restore to this level ?

The work is coming along very nicely. It is so cool you have such an early RS. To some this might not mean much but I'm a bit envious of this early production car.
The light yellow really looks great!. Thanks for sharing the updates.

Thanks for the interest - it's going to be amazing I'm sure.
I have had a couple of points noted by someone on the forum that I have checked out with Manfred and he's onto them - he seemed a little surprised (in a good way!) that a customer was taking such an interest in the restoration of their car!
Perhaps some people just turn up and take one away without a thought? I don't know - it's a bit of a life-changing event for me, that's for sure!
More photos next weekend, all being well and finished completely just after....
Where are those tranquilisers....???

Hi Paul,
I really wanted to get back to you today and say that I could meet up this weekend........but I have been called back down to Hertfordshire again for my sins.
Sorry about that, matters beyond my control and all that!
If you've got your car then I'm sure you'll be on Cloud Nine whatever the weather?
However; I'm sure that we can sort out a meeting this Spring sometime?

Indeed, looks like a 906 to me though it's not on their website. I wonder if it's fuel injected or carbs. I guess they must have double the bhp/ton of a good Carrera?
Got back from Ancona last night and had a good look over the last load of photos - spotless; well impressed. It's almost a shame to drive it home!
I see they have fitted a Dansk stainless exhaust - not original perhaps but I guess it'll add a little to the 'aural' experience, which is never a bad thing....
Now, the torture starts as it's finished proper now - 3 weeks tomorrow!
