and I want Kids should do what my Dad did when I was a kid......

either come in with a black bin liner and start to tidy all my well organsied stuff on the floor Eg black bin liner meant it was going in the bin

a cup of water..

Or open the window and take my dovet and I was frozen I soon got up but I still don't get on with my Dad.

So not sure who won that one..

Had a good day at this event, and nice to see so many early cars all in one place.
Oh and I seem to have picked up another trophy in my scruffy little car for the DDK.

worth buying that one..... never said that about a car before. It's been rebuilt to a level most proffesional builders wouldn't do.. cos of the time taken to get it right.. nice car. Should have won an award for sure.

Looks like a great day - sorry a 5am return meant an early start was not really gonna happen.....I think I'll be just about de-toxed in time for the Fairmile

Unfortunately I forgot my real camera and only got these pics on my phone. Nics was the first car i photographed and it didnt come out well enough to do it any justice.

Good to put a few faces to names/cars on Sunday... always nice to be out in the sunshine talking cars. I enjoyed the day but wonder if there would have been a bigger turnout if a more central location?

Some lovely cars there to drool over and thought I'd add a few of the pics I took to those already posted. Thought the silver Speedster was fabulous and that 356 Racer from the USA, I bet that's a lot of fun with 160bhp! The engine pic is from the ST, already posted. Lots of very nice cars there.

It was too late notice for me to make it, but kicking myself as I am looking for a Pre 74 and this would have been a great place to have said "Hi" and looked around.

Just a suggestion - how about a DDK Pre 74 day at the Donington Museum and race circuit - would that be possible, as they have loads of space and if done on a weeknd when there was an interesting race (or not as the preference may be), would combine nicely. It is alos pretty central ! Just a thought.

Watch this space though, as a car looks to be on its way.

I hope this event continues, but agree that Beaulieu isn't the most convenient venue.

Perhaps somewhere a bit more central, close to a good road network. A small circuit might be a good venue, perhaps in tandem with a Saturday PCGB Track Day. This would provide a nice blend of static displays and track action, but on a much smaller scale than the Silverstone Classic or Goodwood.

And, some parade laps should be possibile. How about Castle Combe?

I believe Fred H did suggest a couple of other venues (the RAF Museum at Hendon being one) but there was not a lot of enthusiam so it went back to Beaulieu. Duxford is good, what about Rockingham or Gaydon??

More notice and I would have attended, it seemed as though last year we had plenty of time to prepare and book it in the diary and this year there was about 4 weeks?

My son and I went, blagged a "trade" entry since I hadn't planned for the entry fee being so high.

Nice day some cool cars but a little low on numbers.

I'm not sure how "fellow DDK'rs" can be identified should we develop a veiled code that could be transmitted in normal speech?

The ST was extra cold by the way!!!!

Did anyone check out the impromptu Corvette burnout session. I swear one of them got up to third gear stationary!!!
