Great news Graham! When are you next at Loton Park?

Barbon next Saturday, great hill and I love it.
Once held a class record there (!!!!

)
Next Loton Gary for me is 9/10 June.
Thank you to all for the congrats, it has taken a long time to sort this car out mainly because I'm a bit lazy, but so far so good.
I think I will need to get another set of gears for 4th as it is too short, 100 mph flat out is no good, 115 would be better.
Best talk to Mr Bainbridge.
Always good to meet/chat to DDK'ers, and thanks for the start line pic, all wheelspin and no traction....
This car will never be finished.
Graham.

Great news Graham!
The last thing I would say you are is lazy.

Well done Graham! I was following it on Resultsman - a very solid day's work!

Best talk to Mr Bainbridge.
Or - talk to Mr BMTR about a pair of higher profile rear tyres??
This car will never be finished.
Graham.
A competition car is NEVER finished! Ask McLaren/Ferrari/Williams/Gould/Ian Dayson/Roger Moran..................................
Hope to get to Shelsley later in the summer,
Cheers!

It will be good to see you Jonathan, and bring that funny fast white car with you!!
Tyre dia was the other alternative, but they are quite TALL now!
Things are quite calm in the Team Loaksey household now, so looking forward to squeezing a lot more out of the car this year.
I want to go quicker than my Impreza on the Three Hills by the end of 2012, that is the goal now it is working.

Took 3rd in class and went as fast as I have ever been in this car.
Excellent news

Great to hear your problems are getting eliminated finally.
I would agree with Jonathan, rather than stripping that gearbox again now it seems to be sorted, why not make the jump to 15'' rims at the rear which will up your gearing allround and may improve things off the line with better traction.
Now would be the time to do it as you were about to alter your bodywork for clearance anyway.

Changing the rolling radius of the rear wheels will have an effect on the geometry. Changing 5th gear is the right move in my conservative, old fashioned view.

Certainly agree from a purist point of view, but if the change is "permanent" then you could probably (possibly) re-tune the geo to work with the bigger radius tyres.
