Car came in for its running in service today….

…and also for a couple of finishing items…..

…initially I'd opted to refurb my left heat exchanger as it was very useable and only replace the right side….

…the problem here was there was no attachment from the heat exchanger for the pipe to airbox to connect to and air was being drawn directly from an open ended pipe just above the heat exchanger. I think previously the correct SSI heat exchangers were not available as I've seen a number of cars configured this way. These are now available since Dansk took over SSI (unfortunately only in pairs) and even the correct engine tin ware is available directly from Porsche…

….much neater and factory correct….

…quite impressed with these new striker catches ordered from Stoddard, previously mine were black 993 items being the earliest available from Porsche….never used Stoddard before and found them very efficient….

…now I can photograph my interior without having to make sure the door shuts are blocked from view!
….

…followed by a trip to Redtek for Nick to check everything is in order and to notch the timing back one degree...the car is running flawlessly and loosening up nicely.
Now all I need is my paint tag plate, currently being expertly stamped by a suitably qualified eminent engineer
and a set of Coco mats being collected tomorrow (thanks Derek) and I'm all set for the POB tour!
Next stop Stuttgart!
