Hi Steve,
No, that wasn't me....I was the one waiting for nobody to buy it so the price would drop, and I could make a cheeky offer, oh well....
Cheers,
Steve.

...I read the LOTR trilogy quicker than this thread....
...for Gods sake man, just go and buy one...they've doubled in
value since you started looking..!!
(.....just kidding....!)
P.S. Have you considered investing in a couple of 1974 / 75 Carrera's
.....watch 'em double in value over the next few years....if its an investment your wanting.Basically same car as a73 RS with IB. Same weight, rarer and about £100k cheaper....
Just an idea...good luck either way.

Vic, I think that's an ex Mexborough car. A very nice car with loads of history. Although, the last time I saw it some years ago it had non original (but period) Recaro's and a Halda Twinmaster.
But I may be wrong.....

owned by Mexborough, then by a Scarborough based Solicitor.
I wouldn't say its the best, but it has always been one of my favorite RS's in the UK .. I have always loved the way it looks

That must be the one with the engine replaced by Porsche at the factory, the original owner worked for Porsche and has a plaque with his name "John ? " on the dashboard and the "fishnet" headrests - it was featured in 911 & P W a few years ago when they did the history of RS edition ! - I think !

Is this John Wheeler's old car ?
Last I heard it was owned by Barry Newton up in Yorkshire so could be the same car...
