Splendid, and a reminder of a time when we could actually make things better and more beautiful than anyone else !!
One thought, when Bittern repeated the journey last weekend, special permission was granted to exceed the current 70mph speed limit. How is it that 75 years ago they easily managed 126mph. 75 years of progress and we've lost 50 mph. The same applies to Concorde.
At this rate we'll be back in horse and carts by the middle of this century !!!
