It's looking fantastic Richard and I'm looking forward to chasing it around the circuit next weekend.
Darren, get some adverts sorted- those vans should be out earning.

Looks superb, you must be very pleased to be driving it again. Great job by all involved and your attention to detail really has made a huge difference. Look forward to seeing it in the flesh again later in the week.

Your journey ends, and what a journey. I've loved reading every word. You have a car to be proud of.
Congrats to all the experts involved in the creation of your dream, real experts (including yourself as Darren says).
Wish you many many enjoyable and rewarding miles.
Regards
Mike

What Mike said +1
Don't worry I've brought a few spare stickers for your car and some extra strength super glue
Looking forward to seeing it!

No problem
Steve took this one!
I think Richard was still in the terrified stage at this point, once a few more stone chips had landed things he could relax

Re: 2.2s Targa rebuild
OK - so today I finished the car almost 12 months to the day since I got it back after all the work. Well I finished clipping all the bits on it - I have finally FINALLY got some pockets fitted - and ThomasTe, you are a genius - they were well misshapen and you've fixed them for me!

So there are a few niggles I still need to deal with - the brand new oil tank from Porsche leaks (but they're going to fix it), My bonnet keeps popping and I'm not happy with the shut lines (due to the new rubber, not Darren, Rich or Barry's issue), I have a pesky rattle in the driver's door and one of my brakes is grabbing......"Fust wurld problems" as Russ would tell me
This has been one fantastic journey - I have learned a lot, sworn a lot, panicked a lot, spent a lot, and now I'm going to Singapore and not able to take the car with me I'm sad a lot.
So - here's my sign-off for this thread; thank you DDK - you have made this possible - found me people, given me advice, shared the good times, given me courage in the bad. What a place. I'm going to be totally self-indulgent now and put on some of my fave photos of the car in the last 12 months or so.
See you all around sometime - I'll be watching from afar

Re: 2.2s Targa rebuild
Sorry not to have made it to Spa to bid you farewell Rich.
There's some great photos /\ /\ /\ - & associated memories - the picture of you & your car with Mick in the passenger seat is my favourite - the car looks stunning.
Good luck in Singapore !

I'm glad you're going. Based on those pics I think you've been stalking me for 4 years as my car is in most of them.
