i watched "tinker tailor soldier spy" recently and it renewed my hankering for a nice DS.. took me back to my hour or so wafting around Tokyo at night, sat in the back of a DS driven by Saito-san, the head of Hermes Japan. That car was magical, especially the interior which was retrimmed by Hermes in their leather!

as I never use it. The wife naggs she cant get the kids bikes out with my car's in the garage so I thought it would free up the garage space and I'd still have a toy!

getting towards Bonnie money but still good value for an original rare bike.
If you don't mind a non-original RE this looks great fun at £3,450!

I think that was Marcus's (Decapman) early saloon. I remembering him lending it to a film crew last year for some London filming (where London stood in for Warsaw or some such place ).

i think london was used for every scene in that film! the ds was always "in london" though, it was the MI5 guys car while they were hunting for a mole..

lovely cars, there was a black one with red leather and a silver blind in the rear window on the road out of leic for years, but a couple of years ago it was sitting on their drive with the front end all caved in.. hopefully it didn't go to the scrapyard in the sky

I love 2CV's!
Had a few many years ago, including a very early one with 425 power-packed cc's, 'trafficlutch' and wipers driven off the back off the speedo (sensible idea, faster you go, faster they wiped)
Reason for going 2CV? Well, I had my 1600E nicked twice in 3 weeks and lost all my 'No Claims', so it had to be replaced with something cheap to insure. Go to say that the 2CV revived my then flagging interest in motorsport because you could drive it flat out anywhere and never get into trouble, nor attract plod
Bought my son a 2CV for his 17th and he ran it for 9 years (rebuilt twice, coutesy of the Bank of Dad!). He was sad to see it go, but it lives on...
