Disappointing news today.... Mike Bainbridge sent my dizzy to John Lamb Tuning for repair, coming up 3 years ago!!
I have periodically chased them and have been told different things at different times "we have the parts", "we can't get the parts", "we have the correct parts now but not had time to fit but will sort it soon" and today "I can't do it till next year or I can just post you back as was initially sent..?" Clearly I agreed for it to be returned and cut my losses (not holding my breath clearly).
Fortunately I have a spare which was sourced a couple of years ago but unsure if it is ok at this point. If anyone knows of another option to get repaired please let me know as would like original one fitted ideally...

Had a pleasant surprise last week....

After posting my little 'rant' I had several missed calls and an apology from John. Lovely guy and clearly very busy with one thing and another and couple of days later 'hey presto'. So thank you to who ever tipped him off as he has done a superb job of total resto of the dizzy. I bought a new one off him too as a spare, has anyone got any feedback?

Also gary has checked the rear arms, both fitted to jig and straight however anti roll bush mounting and main bush housing worn so currently under repair to ensure tight fit and "no knocking around corners"

Hi Adam
My car is off to him soon for a RR session . Only spoke to him a couple of times but seems very knowledgeable and comes highly recommend . Need a few more hp if I'm going to take your 'pinks' in May !

A word of caution Adam

In American HotRod parlance, " taking your pinks" means winning your pink slip - I.e. Car ownership documents in a (usually illegal) road race.

In the sweaty fleshpots of the North West it means something entirely different involving lubrication and "safe" words.

You have been warned.....

Adam,....Feedback.....yes.....I think you might find that MB chased this up for you. Although I am confused......Why would you leave a dizzy fir an E anywhere for 3 years and then Rant that it may have gone missing! Surprised you remembered where you left it!

The 'rant' wasn't about losing it, I knew exactly where it was, the problem was retrieving it repaired this milenium

Feedback was asking if anyone had any experience with the new type dizzy?

Ps thanks for tip off and also to Mike for chasing

Do you mean Tony Carey ('tony' on DDK) who had a thread on his engine build ?

If so, his car is Silver & it's a '73 2.4E (formerly owned by me) albeit updated to S+ spec ...
