Left the Loire valley Monday AM and headed SE on the fab French motorway system- my bipper worked well and good time made.
Had aimed at a coffee/ fuel stop 25 kms SE of Grenoble
Walked into Autogrill and spotted a familiar face

Surprisingly he was also headed for https://hotellechalet.fr
in Gresse en Vercors about an hour or so away!!!!

Amazing place - high in the Vercors ( last bastion of the French Resistance) family owned and michelin listed - my kind of place- obligatory beer on arrival

Wow your trip to CLM looks a lot more civilised than ours! Roughing it in Beausejour. I spent most of Saturday in the ACO too, would have been great to have met you.

Traffic much heavier than expected- but finally cleared it all at Digne Les Bains and enjoyed this fabulous road - stopped for coffe near Sisterin and
a snack lunch just North of Castellane
