No, not familiar to me. Seems an odd one to put through auction, so I suspect there's some backstory there. Needed some tidying up, but might have been a bargain for someone. Mind you, don't know anything of its engine spec, other than the obvious, or gearbox, etc.

I assume these are often deceased estates. £30k spent on the build, it says. Unsold today on a £10k estimate if I remember correctly. Previously featured in Total VW. That’s been for sale for a long long time. I know this because I’ve liked the look of it for a long long time. But my Elan loving friend says it’ll be dreadful because the cars were designed to flex and roll and slide around and apparently as soon as you put big tyres on and big power through them they lose everything that makes them so special.

I sill want it though.
