Had an impromptu Garage night last night at my old boss' place...Fun night with plenty of car chat, summer drive plans and single malts (head still hurts :drunken: )

His place is great, cars and lots of cool old bikes...missing is his Albert Blue '72 911 and his wife's Lotus Elan race car 8)

Hi,

Like this types of threads so much and I have spend many hours of enjoy on DDK.
So, I think it´s time for me to share my story about my garage. I started the ground work in February 2011 and everything was finished during 2015. When you not are a carpenter, mason, or electrician and mostly use evenings and weekends for progress, it take some time to finish a project like this
Looks like many of you like pictures so I hope I can contribute with some pic during this story.

This is what we start with, not compatible with cars....... only tools for the garden.
Old shed - Copy__1579899393_217.208.219.167.jpg
Took help from a friend and dug out the foundation, a lot of blasting was also needed.

Floor heating hose installed over cellular plastic, drainage is also prepared.

Two layer reinforcement mesh to avoid cracking and the ground for the scissors lift prepared.

This moment is a little bit critical so I hired in people to handle this moment, think I still have been working with this if I had used my own cement mixer :bounce: :bounce: Anyhow the weather was perfect.

Big milestone reached, and it´s much easier to ride on a flat area! S and A had problem to handle this area with only reinforcement mesh!

Now it´s a bit warmer outside and it will be possible to tune the wall outside, needed much practices before it looks acceptable (I started to practice on the wall that will be covered by landfill, grass and other things)

Wow. You worked hard for that wonderful garage Andreas! Excellent. Is that your Saab too? I run Saabs and Porsche - Good combination. Have fun kitting out your workspace.

Great looking man cave and very well thought out.
I have underfloor heating in where I live but I'd love it in my workshop!
Now Porsche less and sad.

Looks like there is a bit of weight on that top shelf Brendan! It’s bowing like my garage loft was!
