Nick is relating to the fact that the first day out there was bloody cold.
Cloudy and with a chilly wind. The Florida residents were experiencing a freaky cold front, it was their coldest March day on record. Fortunately it warmed up for the weekend.
Prior to the Amelia weekend we traveled to Daytona Beach for the 'Bike Week' festival.

I haven't got many pictures from Daytona so I'll let Nick & Nigel add in a few photos when they get a chance.
Here's a few...

So, of course, we went to the Daytona Speedway.
We were a day too early to catch any serious bike racing but there were sights to see...

Whilst at Daytona Beach we couldn't resist following in the wheel tracks of Malcolm Campbell.
He managed 250mph down the sands (an incredible speed for 1931), we sadly were constrained to proceed a little slower.

We stayed a few nights in Jacksonville and managed to pop by the Brumos OPC.
The trophy cabinet is certainly impressive. 8)

There's even a model of the 'Garrard' liveried RSR.
Brumos don't own the full size car as it's in safe DDK hands...

We were rather surprised to see this car in the workshop.
Anyone recognise that plate? And know how the car came to be in the US?
