check out the door gaps on the factory 'werks' cars, very difficult to re-create them that bad but I'm trying, now where did I put that hammer.....

It's always one of the 'giveaways' when people build replicas/clones of Factory (not only Porsche) competition cars - very few people can bring themselves to copy the (often) inferior build quality.
It has to be remembered that these cars were built for a sole purpose - to win races ... & aesthetics were of secondary (or no) importance.
It's one of the problems I'll also have with my new 'longer-term' project ...

not to mention they tend to get a few knocks and bangs along the way.

Also each register gave three glass "car of the day" awards. These were for cars owned by the general public rather than trade stands or special display cars. I awarded to the following cars
Prize for 911, 911L and 911T went to the red 911T Coupe with reg 2 AXL owned by Brian Moore.
Prize for 911E went to the light red 911E Coupe with reg KGY 7K owned by John Styles.
Prize for 911S went to the orange 911S Targa reg HGC 985J owned by Stuart Harding.
There were a lot of wonderful cars to choose from.
Ian.

That targa was something special. And something to aim for in terms of benchmark!
Great day,

A curiously tasty use of a 356 exhaust...
