Very much like yours, eh, Ian?
There seems to be a whole 'crop' of ivory white cars appearing in 2010...
Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery....

Aiming for under 950kg (excluding me, which could add nearly 10%, must start dieting now  )

You were right Gary...... still not finished

Well, still not finished! Mike Bainbridge has been/is busy sorting out all the last minute jobs on a series of 'old bangers' that are aiming to go to Le Mans shortly, for some reason
Hopefully when all you lot have beggered off he'll be able to advance mine
I can dream can't I?

Some things proving elusive:
- the metal clips that hold the external oil pipes to the RH sill.
- a lightweight rear bumper including rear panel (fibreglass, one piece, standard 'shape' for a '72 car OR a complete original steel bumper and rear panel). Used to be available from early911. The one I got with the car was for a SWB and was the wrong shape  so I sold it.
- no doubt a few other things that we haven't realised are missing yet :(

The anticipation mounts!
Car has been MOT'd and taxed.... "just a few niggles to sort out".... (rev counter not working; rear bumper quarters and rear panel to fit; oil cooler to fit; rear reflectors to source and fit; door window glasses to fit; ......)
MB has invited me to go and drive it
13 months and counting since I bought it
So should be up at his place on Wednesday to have a go.
Would have liked to have driven it before my 65th, but missed it by 1 day

I'll arrange for photos and post on here
65 - not something that you shout from the trees! But, hey, as Brendan says "growing old is inevitable, growing up is optional!"

Chris

At 65 if he could manage to get into a 914-6 there is no way he would be able to get out of it without Hewden's special lifting equipment.

Seriously Mick, happy birthday mate. All the best on your special birthday. Don't you start getting cheques from the Chancellor now (who the hell is that nowadays)? Have a great day

Regards
Mike
