Can someone show me what the easiest way is to fit a 3 point seat belt into a 1971 targa?

Picture attaches of my little girl a while ago. I have to switch seats now, because she won't fit the lap belt prince anymore.....

Just to update this thread for those looking for a forward facing seat - we've tried loads of seats recently to try to find a really good fitting group 1 seat for my son who had his first birthday this weekend :drunken:
Most wouldnt fit adequately on the seat base, some did but then wouldn't tension up properly :? this included the Recaro young sport (which was also an absolute joke to fit)

In the end the best 2 we found were

Britax Explora STS Ultra 2008 model, which is a very clever piece of kit as the seat splits down the back into 2, the belt attaches to the plastic back bit and then it snaps together so the belt doesn't intrude into the seat at all, but is a PITA to instal in the rear of a 911

Image

and the Mamas and Papas Pro Tec (this is in Black - or as they call it Bond)

Image

which is the one we've gone for (a bit cheaper and easier to install) but just as secure as the Britax one 8) will get some pics up when it arrives

Edit - just realised this is the same as Chris suggested in his post on page 1 :)

(Mamas & Papas Pro-Tec) in the back of my '71, it fits well and was recommended for my car by Quickfit SBS - they also suggest the Maxi Cosi Rodi.
Cheers,
Chris

having seen the 'new version' of the SBS 3 point belt that is fitted to James' car (58A-71E) I would use them as they seem a lot better than the SBS belt I have fitted 4years ago

Ring Quickfit again and just ask for inertia rear belts for an early 911/912 - Pawal? I think is his name - helpful guy - I think James was saying a Quickfit SBS(seat belt services) 3 point belt

A friend has one of these retrimmed in Alcantara to match the interior of his car. Rather than tarty, it's quite understated because it just blends in. Too much time and money, though.

Ok out the blue I popped into halfords and they were clearing out display car seats and I picked up a Britax Freeway and that fits in the back perfect all I need now is a seat belt and that's a job done.. it's nice and snug in the base and also runs up the back of the seat perfect and touches all the way up.. very pleased although they said I had to sign a disclamer becuase it's " so the 18 year 1 day trained muppet it's totaly not suitable for the car.. " like what do you know...

It's a very nice fit and as you know we are very limited to what will fit in our cars so I am happy.

I have stage 1 he is nearly grown out of

stage 2 ( a huge thanks to Mike ) in Jo's car and now I have this Britax Freeway

then I have stage 3 ( as they where clearing them out as well ) ready for when he is older..

seats every where!!!!!

very much like this one

Britax Freeway as discussed here available to a good home for a donation to the DDK charity. Collection from Northwood, Middx (NW London).

Good condition, never in an accident. Fits nicely in the back of a 911 (or 924 for that matter).

Morning Peter -

Am I correct in thinking that this car seat would accomodate my 20 month old boy for a while ? If so then I will happily take it off you !

I'll get in touch with Barry re DDK donation.

Sean
