Unless you owned the car abroad for at least 6 months you need to register it here virtually immediately. Most countries retain the registration plate and documentation, you will just have an export plate from Germany for example.

Would I have to buy a classic 'uk' reg then, or would I be allocated a 'new' number? I wouldn't have to have yellow backed plates on it would I?

Have seen this silver car just wondering is it a replica watever?

U can put a black/silver plate ,aluminium or perspex so long as u can show the car was before jan '73

Barons sold a silver replica at auction a few months ago for approx. £23,000.

when you import a car, so long as you can prove date of manufacture teh DVLA will give you an age related plate eg a '72 L reg or a 73 M reg.

For example my car is a very late December 1972 build so has an L reg plate & is tax free.

Classic Lemans is July 11th weekend. About 40 DDK cars going across for it

. Details are in the members only section of the forum

Everyone knows yellow cars are the quickest

Which is Chisholm's Vic? I haven't come across them before; and which car are you talking about?

On Peter Morgan's site he talks about a service; where you give him 3k and a brief of what you are looking for and off he goes to find what is available.

Has anybody used this, or know anybody that's used it? Would this be an effective way with RS's, would Peter have access to the stuff that sells usually by word of mouth?

Just wondered if he could take the pain out of this, because I'm kind of seeing the Le Mans thing as something that I really want to do?

I know James, I know...I should be patient, but all these pictures of ace cars...well the word 'tumescent' keeps springing up, if you'll pardon my French?

i could lend/rent you a car for Le Mans (it won't be a RS)

have you spoken to Andrew Meres at Gmund cars Knaresborugh,he seems to be able to find these cars out of no-where.
i know not everyone approves of/gets on with Andrew but i have bought and sold several cars through him and never had anything other than a pleasant expereince dealing with him.

My car was originally chartreuse and I have looked closely at the records of all the other 22 cars.

We will find you the right car for a £2000 fee paid directly into the DDK coffers!!!!
