Thanks gang

I found the car in Nevada and was raced in fifties on West Coast.
They did not hack cars around in that series.
Mark Eskusche , foremost SCAA 356 builder built car on my behalf . His first attempt at a proper FIA HTP car.

The work was completed by Gareth Burnett at Pace Products who drives car for me.

He understands FIA rules and although Andy Prill did not have time to be involved organised the FIA papers to allow car to race.

The car was extremely successful last year and quickest at Le Mans at weekend.

An interesting and successful excercise.

Thanks for pics and must organise copies.

Someone asked about Avons on 356's.

They are legal and quicker than Dunlops in wet.

Funny you should say that because I was chatting to someone racing an e type and he was moaning about this every point. They had been told only Dunlops but when they arrived they were told Avons were ok too but didn't bring any!

Don't know who that was but all racers with experience know that.
If they do not have that experience they should not be racing at Le Mans as we found to our cost with the -anker in the Le Mans Rep

Left out the B but prefer the W

Yes four 356's so looking forward to playing amongst Porsches. I stripped fuel system and Isn rebuilt it, then did a days testing at Cadwell. Another 500rpm and more hp and and none of the issues we experienced last time out. hoping to get to your rolling road chap this week John to set up engine. Expecting a great race at Silverstone and have lined up pit crew girls with tiny t-shirts so all our preparation work is done.

It's the 356GT ,the Pre A is in one piece but will not be in use until we solve the brakes problem.

The A was a T1 and looking for T2.

Sanjay has found me a possible T2.

Thank goodness !! Zee Germans have won too much already this week !

But that scuppers my plan of applying boot polish to Gareth and finding 5 seconds a lap !
