Outer profile is standard 1970.
Barry did roll the inner arches for me. I asked for that because I have a set of 7Rs for the rear which I will probably run with spacers.

Everything (including the new Porsche panels) has gone back to bare metal as the first stage of paint prep.

A skim of filler in places, but not tons of the stuff.

And some epoxy primer.
Lovely and tough, offering much better protection against corrosion than was usual in 1969.

Thanks JP, thanks Dave,

Should say: I'm no expert on paint, so if you see anything wrong / questionable - please shout now while we can still fix it.

Cheers, Richard.

Let's start with the front slam drains  .

Will pop down to Steve's in next day or so and beat the little darlings out. Oh well, at least they make an excellent cuppa. Sigh.

Thanks Barry!
A very knowledgable DDK-er sent me a PM today pointing out a cock up. Thank you, just in time...
My fault, I did know about this, but had forgotten somewhere along the line.

To elaborate, what's wrong with this picture? (my car):

Clue from some reference pics of 70/71 cars (with thanks to Giovanni Favelli and David Conklin):

Richard, good timing. Mine is about ready for paint. I will watch with interest. Currently have three versions of Gemini Blue to choose from. The one I think is the closet is the lightest shade of blue from the three paint suppliers.

Cheers

Hi Tom,
I feel your pain. Colour choice next week for me, I think...
Gemini is pretty light. Sure that's a great help!

Anyway my cock-up is...
Image
.... the highlighted drain holes are not correct for a 1970 car. I'm told they were introduced for the '74 model year. You all knew that, right?
*** edit - Darren, Gitesh, Mike say mid '73 model year and I'm sure they are right. Either way mine is wrong ***

As mentioned above, Barry is willing and able to fix immediately. Many thanks Barry. Still in first coat of primer, just in time.

Right then, any more details I've got wrong? Time to shout. Massive thanks for the help so far.

Cheers, Richard.
