Is there a standard rate for CG or charge by the hour?
The web site is not too comprehensive.
Mine was set-up about 15 years ago by Bob Watson and is unchanged since; might be worth a shot.

Give them a call or email - they come back to you quickly. I've found them really good to deal with on the basis that chris is passionately enthusiastic and really knows his stuff

Darren's car is absolutely stunning, all i can say is the pictures on this thread simply don't do it justice. How he resists the temptation to drive it i do not know. I could spend hours looking at this car. Nearly forgot why i was there.

Re: 1973 2.4E Restoration
I think they work on a full or half day basis although would imagine they're pretty flexible…despite the extra hours taken to finish my car they didn't charge extra and my invoice was exactly as per estimate…late into the evening wasn't a problem, as Chris said 'we work until the car's right'911hillclimber wrote:Is there a standard rate for CG or charge by the hour?
Obviously I couldn't comment on before or after feel, just nice to know I'm starting out right………the vast majority of their business is from returning customers and recommendations, that tells you something.
Cheers,
Darren

Darren - looks absolutely fantastic and full credit to you for all the project management and the work that your team have done. This looks to be a world class restoration. Couldn't be more deserved - you've put your heart and soul into this. And it shows.
Congrats!!

Thanks Richard
And you TRULY know what it's like putting your heart into a project, can't wait to see that delicious Targa finished and photograph these cars side by side.

Re: 1973 2.4E Restoration
Took the car to Canford Classics today for sill trims, seat belts and a final few items, but most importantly……….seats…

Canford Classics 'DO' detail……every part, nut, bolt, washer and screw either powder coated, re-plated, re-chromed or rebuilt and all beautifully re-finished to original specification and assembled exactly how it was done back in the day….Canford Classics not only met my expectations…they blew them away!
…..

The original re-webbed Repa seat belts also turned out pretty nice too….thank you Mr O'Connor (stretch
)…

…and by popular demand….

Now all that's left is a drive
…

Cheers,

What an absolutely stunning car. Nice to know that it perfect both in terms of bodywork and mechanically. The mechanical side is still a bit unknown on mine. Well done.
