I've got the camping receipt back by post from France, so we have somewhere to stay!

I guess sending your credit card details to a random French fax number does work then!

Now my PCGB member friend has to book the entry tickets and parade laps and I can then start worrying about how to fund everything.

I'm commited to it now so I'd better start getting the car sorted out!

Still going on the tunnel due to to my hatred of ferries!

That is the travel arrangement for bjmullan, 210bhp & pmjt all sorted (see tunnel post). We will be staying in a hotel (not known yet) southwest of Rouen so that we are in a good location to meet up with the Caen ferry crowd. We can arrange a suitable meeting point once we have our hotel booked.

It's all coming together

I've just come in from the garage having done the other front wheel bearing and fitted a new pair of track rods, just a couple of fuel lines to go and it will be ready for the summer!

Just booked the portsmouth-caen crossing and can't wait.

Taking the Thursday morning crossing to meet the other speedsters/spyders travelling down (Guy et al).

Booked via the Speedsters Club as they have got their own separate parking area so as not to upset the PCGB types with the dozen or so replicas that are attending....

Do I have to re-join PCGB to get my entrance ticket or is there a way to get them without?

Hi Paul, Follow the links http://www.ddk-online.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=8195 to the booking form. You do not need to be a member of PCGB. The only advantage I could spot was that it saved you 20 euros on the ticket!

We have just got our race entry accepted for the ex-Jim Clark 57 A and will be mechanical cover for Jeff Moyes in his 914-6 GT.

Watched Steve McQueen in Le Mans again last night....

The wife thinks I am very sad. She may be right

It mentions in the tickets thing that you need jacket and tie for the paddock

Is this right? I can't not get in there as the photo opportunities will be incredible.

Maybe an early 70's jacket from the local charity shop is the way forward as I'm not bringing a suit to go camping at Le Mans

I'm pretty sure it is no jeans / shorts and no t-shirts etc... In 2004 they were pretty relaxed about the dress code but I do get the impression this year because it is going to be busier they will probo be stricter
