Bootsy sorted a similar Omega for me which had stopped due to salt water ingress.

I’ll have a go (or my watchmaker will) and if we can’t do anything he could give you a price in any salvageable parts

You can keep all your fancy Heuers and Rolexes - you need a Renault R4 speedometer watch!

I like the watch more than the car. Still one of the worst cars my parents owned

Thanks Neil, I must take the time to watch that, especially as George was a friend of my Dad.
In the mean time, any suggestions to the best way to fix this ?? Image

Your stem has come off the crown and is still in the watch. Needs the stem removing and seeing if it still reusable.

A trip to the watchmaker beckons

Or get the George Daniels book.

I successfully repaired such a breakage on a ropey old Datejust using tools off ebay. And I'm no engineer. There was just a little button to press in to release the stem, pop in a new stem, screw the crown back on, away you go. YMMV.

There is a good watch chap in Leicester who retired Stephen B. This company took over this business http://www.rytetimewatchrepairs.co.uk/

I think they still pass work onto him. However, seems like a nice lockdown project for you
