Big thanks to Redtek for taking so many shots along the way and keeping me furnished with plenty of photographic evidence of the work undertaken.
And for providing you guys with some fascinating viewing pleasure.

I see 'lime green in your signature, so is that your chosen colour?

Yeah, I've settled on Lime Green.

This is a photograph of ‘Limey’, a well know UK, Lime Green Carrera.
I took this picture at Classic Le Mans some years back when I had my Metallic Green 2.4S.
The CLM organisers held a Concours D’Elegance and I was delighted to be awarded a prize for the 2.4 when it was deemed to be the second best early 911 on the day.
The car that won the overall award for Best Car was Nigel’s Lime Green Carrera (although no longer Nigel’s).
In all honesty I felt there were better quality cars present and yet their owners took away no silverware.
And I then realised two things: the ’74 Carrera is a well regarded car but more importantly Lime Green looks fabulous.
It stole the heart of the judges. And I guess it resonated within me too. Such things can shape your life.
Anyway, I’m close to owning a similar car now and I’m really looking forward to it. 8)

Great watching the build Paul, what does this mean though, not heard that expression in relation to cams before?

I'm not sure what it means Mike, probably just polish clean and check for true.
The cams were pronounced fine, they were in tip top condition.

Now we had the long-block completed Nick started adding the tin ware.
Some parts were missing so Redtek sourced and replaced those. Others had rusted through in places and were repaired and repainted.
