Love it when a plan comes together :)

Don't stop writing about it, I really hope the negative comments didn't come from anyone on here, if so they are on the wrong site!

Congratulations Keith, not only did you get there.......you did it damned well! 8)

Enjoy.

Great write up, and I'm so pleased that it has finally put a smile on your face. Well done in keeping the faith in the ECU during the hard times. I know from my car just how hard it is when you've taken the unconventional route, especially when its not working right. You Got there... Now enjoy it.

Keith, how about a special edition of Porsche Classic with the whole story from beginning to end?

That's addressed the balance.

Great first drive, reminds me of mine 25 years ago with wife and daughter aboard.

hope you have 25 years ahead of you too, and an early 911 with brakes?
Remarkable!

A great result - & the 'lows' along the journey just made the first trip more of a 'high'. :)

Incidentally - I don't know if you're aware of it but you can now do the registration transfer on-line in about 2 mins - you don't even need to submit any of the paperwork !

Jeez, that was boooooring.

The highs and lows and bank balance breaker. Just about sums it up. Car's turned out nice though.

The DVLA site keeps telling me it's not possible on line and to send in the paperwork (I transferred a number to my Golf on line a few weeks ago). I called the helpline and the lady could't see any reason why it shouldn't work, but admitted it was a new system and they'd had glitches. Mine's a glitch. El Chuckle fighting back to the last! She said just to send the paperwork in and they'd do it the old way.
