I first met Chris about 3 or 4 years ago, when he lived close to me (what ever happened to that door mirror Chris?). At that time his car was still quite embryonic even though a LOT of work had already been completed. What came across to me at that time was how 'off the wall' his thinking was and I'm glad to see that the thought processes have not changed. Nothing stands still with Chris, even things that have been completed, and he is not afraid to re-visit any area. As everyone has said, it's all quite inspirational. How he ever finds the time - never mind the energy - to do what he's done in such a relatively short time defeats me. Couple all that with moving countries more than once during the build, having a family and twins to cater for and regularly appearing in different parts of the world on business the man's not human!
And everything is shared with DDK for the greater good.

Lovely looking car! It clearly takes an artist to design/plan something that looks so good!

Nice one Chris, have missed the updates over last couple of weeks, the car is looking truly gorgerous. There are some seriously modern design twists on an old car that gives a really interesting old / new blend

You're right, she is a pretty little thing.

Great vision on this project, but superbly executed.

Just sent my Targa artwork picture you did for me to the framers and he commented on the quality of both the rendering and the printing. So you're getting accolades with every step!

See you soon

My mrs is sat watching some x factor nonsense, I've spent my evening reading this thread from start to finish.

I feel it necessary to dedicate my first ever post to this car.

Top skills my man - I love it.

Hi Chris,

How did you get on with the Plexiglas logo heat stamp?

Cheers,

Cheers,
I still haven't used it yet on the actual 'glass', just on the test piece...

I did lend the stamp to a guy in Germany who used it on his Motorbike screen. The bike screen is about 2mm thick so there was alittle bit of heat distortion around the logo, however his TÜV guy was fine with it. My 'glass' is 4 and 5mm thick so it is abit easier to control the distortion...

Cool - do you heat the stamp first and use it as though branding cattle?

Yep, thats basically it :)

I re-issued Mrs Jury's Creme Brulee mini blow torch to do the heating.

I actually don't know why we had a mini blow torch in the Kitchen drawer, as I can never remember having Creme Brulee at home
