I thought the tune-up last week was perfect?
This was purely to sort the cold start and after-start enrichment settings, which you can't do when the engine is anything other than stone cold. None of these settings affect the overall fuelling, which we got sorted on the rollers. I asked Tim if he could send me his cold start settings and when I compared them to those in my ECU, I could see mine were drastically weak in comparison. It's not quite perfect, but a heck of a lot better than it was (the car would run for about 100 yards and then die).

I will keep a look out for you and give you a push if you need it
I look after a single seater car and if all goes to plan we will be at Harewood arriving Saturday night.
I'll see you there Alan!

Decided I'd like to go to the Fairmile meetup yesterday.

Rear wheel bearings are a bit loose, so pulled car out of garage, jacked it up, removed OSR wheel to discover this...

What the f***?

Decided there was nothing I could do about it other than fill the chassis leg with Dinitrol. So I pulled out a new can, fitted it to the gun, and fired up the compressor. Aimed the gun, pulled the trigger, and the can exploded over the inside of the wheelarch, my wife's car, up the back of the 912, over my jeans and shoes, and into my face.

That took an hour to clean up. I still wanted to go to the Fairmile, so I left the house at around 6.30pm and spent 45 minutes sat in evening rush hour traffic before F****** it all off and heading home for fish and chips.

elected to invest in a set of CN36's.....definitely a softer ride that the Toyo's and certainly fills the arches much more satisfyingly....

The early car hasn't been used for a while, pulled her out of the garage, checked the tyre pressures and set off with Julie to St Andrews.

It rained the whole 250 miles, car never missed a beat. Christ, you forget how good these early cars are. The E always seems to go better after a long run, we took the back roads from Moffet through Pebbles and it was going like a rocket, even had a few sideways moments. Magic 8)

Stratos looks fantastic! I great plans to build one from my Mum's Beta until it went the way of most 70's Lancias before I was old enough!

I did a couple of jobs on the 911 I've been putting off for ever. New rear discs, 964 door seals and nipping up a few bolts underneath to hopefully take the edge off the post rebuild oil leaks. Job next week is to put the non cracked wheels on from James 914 and enjoy the summer before getting them refurbed by Nick to match as they are a bit shiny at the moment.
