I thought Dansk had been given the task of early 911 panel manufacture?
Back then, the panels I used were Dansk door skins and out sills, both were murder to fit.

The real Porsche rear outer wings fitted perfectly blindfolded.

Hi Dansk door skins are not the same as the Porsche ones both in terms of fit and also the steel used. Barry as usual has made an amazing job, we recently were involved in a similar task but in full ally, with regards to time taken as Barry says, it's a lot.

I had planned to wait until the car was finished to show the various mods but then Barry sent me a few updates photos and I get too excited! :bounce:

OS door now complete…..

Image

…when looking at the door pressings before and after you can see just how much work has gone into these. They're incredibly rigid and I could have gone with aluminium skins…

Image

…fitted and gapped as you'd expect….

Image

Image

Image

…can you spot where these have been fitted?…

…we thought we'd get rid of it…

….and as there'll be no torsion hole cover Barry's smoothed off the hole….

….various strengthening mods being carried out….

…oil pipes made up…

…and this one is just for Dave! ….

Still plenty to do….strengthening to engine bay, torsion tube, front arb point, mods to both bumpers, front strut brace, roll hoop, centre tunnel mod etc. etc. but we're getting close now. :P

More soon….

Do the oil pipes by necessity have to have that "nasty" right angle joint in them ? Flow would be much much better with as gentle a radius as possible ....... given space limitations .

Lovely stuff Darren, look forward to seeing some more updates

Is below prep work for Harness mounts ? I guess a fixing plate is welded on the backside of the parcel shelf, which then pops through the hole for the EYE to thread onto ?
