As I read it, the bulk of people will be arriving at Le Mans on Thursday after getting the overnight ferry to Caen. According to their website, the event starts on Friday afternoon. Why so early? What will I miss if I get the Thursday night ferry?

We got there on Thursday evening in 2004 & the camping was allready filling up.
Anyway its LeMans. Every extra minute you can spend there the better

The answer can only be no (i.e. one member card per car - passengers don't need to be members)
You'll get 'Porsche VIP' style tickets individually . . . . I imagine the cards will only be needed when moving into the porsche parking area (camping is completely independant to the porsche club stuff)
Basically the person booking the tickets needs to be a member PCGB. I wouldn't risk sending off a booking form (which I'm still waiting for) without being a member beforhand BTW.

Anyone going Newhaven Dieppe? Looks a lot cheaper than via Portsmouth. If I remember the official DDK trip went this way last time. Bad experience?

& the boat appeared to be stuck in the late 70's. Don't even ask about the food But it was very cheap

I had better get round to booking the Ferry, you would have thought it would been the first thing I would have done. I have been back for a whole 2 1/2 weeks now.
I'll get my Ferry done tomorrow... I have yet to see any PCGB tickets become available yet.
I maybe naughty though and list my car a 1973 model so I can park my car in the pre 73 section with the rest of you guys. Do think thats too Sarf London of me??
