Thats really interesting. I recently bought a Flowmaster muffler virtually identical to that one in size for my 911 and I found it didn't fit under the early 1pc rear bumper/valence. How did you get it to fit under without touching the rear valence? Has your rear bumper been cut? It doesn't look like its been modified in anyway at all.



My car is louder than ever since having the new chip installed from Steve Wong. Must get it to the dyno for a tune and readings for the free tweek from Steve Wong. I would like to get my flowmaster muffler on the back of my car to make it quiter, track day friendly and more stealthy.

I'd be really interested to know how you or anyone else got that flowmaster under ther with no mods? Do you still have the heatexchanger hot air ducting behind the muffler?
If its been removed where and how have they modified it as thats the only way I can see that they could have 'created' more space.

Nice car. I'd like to hear it against mine for comparision. BTW how much BHP is your car rated at?

The flowmaster fits without touching or modification to the rear bumper/valance, I changed from 3 piece RST to 1 piece RSL bumper at the weekend and no issue with either, minimum clearance at anypoint I d suggest ie 30mm I ll try and photograph from underneath for you during this coming weekend.

There are no heater pipes rear of the main box though, so no heat exchangers, when your back from Oz I ll meet and show you. I m going to dyno test sometime soon, (anyone fancy meeting and running a couple of cars at the same time?) but last test was 280bhp so nice and healthy..

I need to borrow a sound monitor as I m not sure noise wise if I could get on a track with it currently, does anyone know the limits and at what revs?

Elvington was running a 105 static @ 4500 rpm limit. Mick Cliff with his duel outlet muffler ( which I don't think is that loud) failed at around 107 db

Thats explains it if you don't have any heater pipes behind that muffler then there will be loads of room.
Now another questions springs to mind.. where did all your heat pipes get moved to???

I would really love to see your car and compare notes. Perhaps we could all meet one sunny cold weekend in Feb when I am back from Oz.

260bhp is awesome, you must love it! I have a guestimated 240-245bhp with my performance mods on my car and its SUPERCAR fast!

I was speaking with some of the London chaps before I left and was going to organise a Dyno day at Weltmiester in Silverstone who do alot of work with 911's. I would ideally like to mod my car to accept the Flowmaster before then though to get optimum set up for my car.

So if you can wait till I get back we can take a load of DDK cars down for a tune up. Perhaps we can negotiate a special rate too.

Bloody 'ell! Mine feels a handful at times with ~155hp

I drove to work today - not a huge amount of common sense on my part, new tyres and brakes, damp slippery roads
