Re: CLM - DDKers travel plans
If government advice is that you can travel they probably don’t have to do anything else do they? You’re effectively choosing not to go so they can hold you to their Ts and Cs.
Maybe see if you can claim on your insurance if you have it.

Re: CLM - DDKers travel plans
Eurotunnel have been very helpful regarding a rollover for a different cancelled event for me. I had booked the cheapest, non refundable non amendable tickets yet they are happy for me to move it as many times as i like within 12 months of the original date that i carried out the booking on. If i choose to travel at a more expensive time i will have to pay the uplift......Pretty reasonable i feel. W

Re: CLM - DDKers travel plans
That's the problem. They are only allowing you to take travel within 12 months of the booking. In the case of CLM many would have booked there crossing around Jan-Feb this year. They should allow 12 months from the original travel time. Although this seems they will not honour this. Pure profiteering.... Greedy bastards.

Re: CLM - DDKers travel plans
I had paid a deposit with Brittany Ferries (Plymouth-Roscoff), the balance to be paid in March, non-refundable. I went ahead and cancelled anyway and was informed on screen that I was too late, but in fact I was never charged for the ticket.

Re: CLM - DDKers travel plans
Are there any plans for CLM 2021 as I see the dates have been moved to 1-4 July 2021. Is everyone booking ferries yet in light of the fact that last time they opened these up everything sold out and wondered if we got a deal on a booking made now for 2021?

Some have rolled their ferry booking over to the 2021 dates. I’ve taken a P&O credit and waiting to see how things develop

I’ve rolled over tickets, tracklaps and ferry bookings to 2021- taking 1995 VW Dehler camper and 1978 924 race car on trailer.
I’m sure Robin will be on top of booking the campsite etc. when things become clearer.

Re: CLM - DDKers travel plans
HI Clive, I speak to Andrew at TD regularly, and yes to coin a phrase "we're all over it" I'd suggest we'll be in the same position as this year soon, i.e. taking bookings from around the year end with the same proviso that if CLM2021 is cancelled then folk can get their money back.anglophone1 wrote:I’ve rolled over tickets, tracklaps and ferry bookings to 2021- taking 1995 VW Dehler camper and 1978 924 race car on trailer.

As I'm in the Events industry my personal take on it is that it will run albeit there my be fewer enclosed spaces allowed/open i.e. hospitality areas within permanent building, numbers may also be restricted to paddock and other areas such as grandstands etc. I'm not expert but organisers will risk asses with a view of a flexible approach should covid19 cases increase around the time of the event. I would have thought the main LM24 2021 will be a good pointer. Andrew will keep me briefed, and I will keep DDK/PCI in the loop.

Re: CLM - DDKers travel plans
For any Northern DDK's not sure if you have seen the news, but it looks likely that P&O have cancelled the Zeebrugge route, but keeping Rotterdam. Only problem is Rotterdam adds an extra couple of hours on your drive and if you want to go the scenic route thats a fair few hours behind the wheel. Anyway to cut a long story short, I got on the P&O webchat to ask about this and my credit and they refunded me immediately no questions asked. Rather have the cash, then decide which route afterwards, most likely the tunnel.
