I’d suggest you use the car a good bit before changing anything. Suspension is all about compromise and reducing ride height will mean you will really need stronger springs and more solid damper settings and of course you will have less range of movement to absorb bumps. It could impact really negatively, depending on your use and the quality of the roads you’re driving on.

Lowered does look great though!

I hated the way my 964 drove on stock suspension... almost sold it within the first month. Fitted the bilstein kit ( which is a complete package incl springs) had it set up to RS spec and it’s fantastic. For info, nearly all my driving is Yorkshire dales roads, tight twisty and very bumpy and all taken at speed. Of course what I feel is spot on others might dislike as they prefer wafting / comfort

Further updates on the 911UK thread linked on the first page, as Ciaran has now started a strip down of his engine, it beggars belief !

It mirrors my ghastly early experience with my RS rep. When we took the motor apart there were all kinds of nasties. Pistons hitting heads. Intermediate shaft in the most ghastly mess. Head stud timecerts done by hand. Vile camshafts. Bent crank. The list goes on and on. A 15k rebuild on a newly rebuilt motor. I'd blanked out the pain, now it's back!!

Wonder where the culprits are now Graham?,they seem to have disappeared.

My guess would be that this story ends well and the price paid by Mr Howarth returns both Mr Hawkins and Mr Whittle 15% returns on their investments.

Went into administration last week from whats been reported

I was very lucky ! My car was as advertised, provenance confirmed and I’m very happy with it but I ended up having to spend a fair few k at JZM to rectify all the things that SCOM promised they would do and either didn’t do at all or did really badly. Better to have lost a few thousand than to have not got the car and lost all of the purchase price - so my irritation is combined with relief. I do feel bad for all of those that lost a lot more than I did.

Yorkshire Classic Porsche went today also.

The 3rd dodgy Yorkshire dealer in a short period...
