So a mate of mine came round Thursday evening to help get the floors fitted, he restores classic cars for a living so knows what he's doing, unlike me

I think due to a combination of the new panels and where the cars been jacked up on the sills over the years and miss shaped them, they needed a little work to fit perfect, but luckily there was plenty of extra metal on the edges to work with.

So he started on the rear section, which went from this....

Really pleased with the results, on to the fronts next which ill hopefully have cleaned up ready for the new one over the weekend, Then my mate will be taking both sections into work to be tig welded and metal finished into one complete floor for an invisible join, then they can be welded in place in one piece.

Cool looking Ghia - is the 912 going back to Ivory or have you not decided yet?

Started getting some of the panels bolted up, it needed a new door skin and outer sill, so wanted to make sure everything lined up correctly before anything was welded in place

New outer sill mocked into position.

Genuine Porsche door skin on and sill final fit, all lined in lovely.

I mentioned earlier about a poor repair to the front suspension pan whitch Chris has taken care of, but they had also damaged the bottom of the front apron so i decided to replace that.... Thought i would get away with using a Dansk panel, but when it arrived i wasn't happy with the shape of the pressings on top of the slam panel, so i asked Chris is we could modify it, using the top of the genuine one and the bottom of the dansk panel (Pressing was ok on that section, and its hidden behind the bumper)

So heres how it went

All done and bumper on

Well Happy with how that turned out

So that was new suspension, brakes, steering, wiring, wheels, and engine.
And made it to a couple of shows.....

Also picked this up while i was at it  always wanted an early cabriolet, so couldn't resist.

Apart from the terrible black paint, its actually completely solid...
