You can't rush a good thing Nick!

Suspension fitted back on the car, at least as much as I can with the shell still mounted to the trolley.

New rubber seals, sound pad and all wiring cleaned up.

Rear spoilers on the SC and 3.2 divide opinion, some prefer the flat lid look but since I'm restoring this car back to factory spec then the spoiler has to stay.

It was completely stripped to component parts (there are a lot more parts than you might imagine that go into making up the spoiler) and those were re plated, powder coated as required and reassembled.

Thanks for spoiler pics Jon, didn't realise what's under there... and it all looks perfect. :)

About 18 nuts and washers holding the rubber lip, two mesh grills, two metal grills, nuts and washers to hold these, five mounting brackets, etc

And the bumpers aren't much better, lots of component parts to be reconditioned and reassembled,

In this case all rubber components, washer jets, indicator lenses, number plate lights have been renewed.

Spoiler fitted and rear end back together

Porsche changed the finish on the door frames from anodised to powder coated at some point in the mid eighties, so these have been stripped and re powder coated in satin black.

Trims on the rear quarter windows are finished in the same way and new rubbers used

Image

Front screen assembly is all new, glass, rubber and trims.

I haven't actually done anything about advertising it yet Darren, I'm waiting until its closer to being finished. I'm hoping that will be in a couple of weeks so I can bring it over when I go to the Revival.
