The thing about the early production Turbos is that they were built to homologate the 935 (Group 5) for FIA racing and were the first production Turbo powered car from Porsche. This sets apart the 1975 Turbos and it looks from the Brightwell advert that the car has an early chassis number and is a 1975 model year car. The RHD production numbers are also very low for these early cars. Once you get past the homologation production cars then I don't believe the following years of 930 production have as much potential although 1976 and 1977 Turbos are still decent. Could be a smart buy at the money paid because finding a 1975 Turbo is almost impossible and they are a very significant car in Porsche's history (both in production and racing form).

You're seeing an asking price and thinking that your car is worth the same, don't bother your insurance company because it's not.
Unless of course it's a rare early car that you have done a complete restoration on, every nut and bolt, back to the metal shell with
all the metalwork done, full engine and gearbox rebuild, all new paint and a full interior job as Manfred Herring has done here.

Manfred is the leading restorer of Porsche's in Germany at the moment and his cars are at the very top end of the scale. So think
again before assuming that all turbo's are worth a lot of money just because someone is asking a lot for an exceptional one.
cheers, Mike.

I saw over two hundred early 911's stacked up in his old warehouses last time I was there.
The idea is you tell him the model, year and colour of the car you want and in all probability
he has one he will restore for you in stock.
cheers, Mike.
