Invoice from Dr S.Brunn GMBH ( who's this ? )

That's 'Sigi' Brunn - well known racer within Porsche circles who had/has his own race team.

Pat certainly lived nr Bicester at that time for part of the year - I went to his house around that time with a customer of mine to look at/buy an RS LWT (one of the 17 RHD cars built).

Cheers Andy . Interesting stuff .
Couple more invoices for the car whilst owned by Pat .

This one describes the car as a '74 ( date of registration ) rather than a '73 .

I have a build date of 01/05/73 , chassis 9113201071.

This is an interesting thread.

Razz
I see your E is 73 with a 3.2
Did you by chance know Bob Watson in around 1993 and fit your 3.2 then?

I bought a 2.4E in bits in a box from Bob, the owner was putting a 3.2 into his E

Interesting the second 911 I bought was around 1982 was a silver 911 e coupe reg LYY 850K which when I sold it during the strike 83/84 with a knacked mfi pump to a dealer as I could not afford to fix it later went on to be a race car with Pete Clark's outfit cc specialist cars kirbymoorside .just put the reg into trade link and still shows as vin 9112200966 for 31/7/72 anyone on here own that one says its white now? Probs a Rs rep. Used to see this car outside a night club we used to go to was always my dream car Porsches I was 17 and on about £22 a week and taking our lass to this country club and having a steak just about did all my pay in it belonged to a rig worker from stoksley . When I bought it I had sold my stunning 911 t for £5500 big bucks (which at the peak late 80s cc sold it for 25 bags ) we have been there before ha ha and bought the 911 for 1400 quid be nice to know if anyone owns it peter

It was always JMV529N when raced although it has had a few numbers on it before and since . I've got the print out from the DVLA at home so I'll check later .
Back home Tuesday. I'll take a look then.

This is a 2.4S raced by Chris Strakosch, Oulton Park 1987. In 2000 I bought a Carrera 2.7 from Chris, which had been raced by him in the same series.

interesting it was a 2.4S nick. It does appear 2.4E was teh car of choice as a starting point even if they did end up with 2.7RS spec motors like I believe Russ's did.

Great thread , love seeing some UK comp history rather than the usual european rally stuff

It was all to do with the classes, the E was in class C, the S in B, and the RS was in group A

Second that, fantastic thread 8)

My earlier post was only part tongue in cheek….I'm surprised there isn't a trend to take these cars back to period spec race cars. I would have thought done well with a decent provenance they'd be a lot of value in that…..isn't that the case in the USA?

A very cool collection of cars imo 8)

That is interesting Nick. Chris used to own and race my car and I have history for it going back to the 80s. I have some paper work for that 2.4S and the 2.7 Carrera - my car raced with the engine from that 75 Carrera for some time as well as it is listed in the scrutineering notes. Shame it isn't still in there!

Here is my car being campaigned in the PCGB series in 2004 by the next owner and before it's restoration as a road car.

I've been round to see him a couple of times, as you say really nice guy. I pointed him towards DDK but not sure how active he is.

Julian was commissioning his car after the rebuild last time we spoke. Car has lollipop seats in it and is an RS rep. Must catch up with him again. Did you say the car is for sale?
