Hi Jamie

Looks like a fun project, bit of a rusty stuff but all in the usual places, at least the car is straight and an honest looking one with plenty of character, where will you get the work done...is the car staying over in the states or do you bring it back so we can all have a better look

Regards
Jonathan

Looks great Jamie, and getting cooler by the day.

You've got to love the number plate hanging on the garage wall - FU*CD 84 - pure class!!

Me too. And despite all the photo evidence, somehow Jamie, your images make it all look highly desirable! Good luck with getting it into the condition you want it 8)

Oh and cardboard box brown is clearly the new silver or should that be olive... or chartreuse?!

Welcome back Jamie, the car looks ace. you can't beat a bit of patina!

Pilot's licence should come in handy with that ride height...

As for a name, in cardboard beige it's a shame it isn't a Boxster - Cardboard Boxster - geddit?

I'll get me coat.

Cheers, Jon

Ha! US-spec lunar-rover ride height is on the snag list!

Hi Jonathan,

My plan at the moment is to bring it to the UK in its current state. Shipping it out of Texas was about 1/3 the price of sending it from the west coast. I am supposed to be back to San Francisco for work in February, so I am looking into driving it down there - not that it would save any money by the time I've done the 2000-mile drive, but it could be good fun.

Whilst I would like to do the welding myself, I know my skills are better used earning the money to pay someone to do a good job on it. If anyone has knows of a suitable candidate, I'd be interested in suggestions.

One more cool thing - the seller had some SC front suspension and brakes for the car, not yet fitted. Here's how I spent my last day in California:

Crap picture, but the Bilsteins came up nice.

Sorry for going a bit quiet recently: playing catch-up (successfully I'm pleased to say).

Speak soon, and good to see you back!
