Its such a shame, new programmes are so rarely made and we watch emdless repeats. It would cost no more for this to have been an informative and genuine car resto programme but the producers cant decide wether its a car programme or a second rate soap opera. They must have had 'Slam-able door' at the top of their list when looking for the location.
We always laugh at Wheeler dealers and their 'profit' they make but atleast they generally show you something about cars.
Another hour of my life wasted!

I watched it, had I not been at the gym on the running machine and in front of plenty of people I think I would have punched the screen.

Love the fact that they were saying essentially, 'check out how good a filler job' I've done on this car, when mentioning the roof 'fix'

I absolutely hated it, combined with Mr Shouty Shouty Mockney tw@t talking about a nifty being a fifty rather than an Issac and then the incredibly annoying New Yorker replaying it to a parts dealer, I honestly wanted to shout at the screen.

and anyway, what an abortion the car was. Was that a lightweight rear bumper with a whale tail?

rant almost over -..,.. and the valuer... ever been under a car do you think? - ' well respected in the industry' according to slaphead mockney ape.

right. back to work.

It was a bad bitza for £22k , what are good ones worth, the bit that got me was the headlining in white and sides in black sh*t.

They weren't even parts off a 911 that he bought from the dealer. Wing looked like a 944 or even a Boxster rear or summat, the struts he bought has coil springs fitted and bolt up top mount? Guess they might be for next weeks car.

Haha love the replies. It was a complete joke though, what a couple of complete muppets... I would like a 1977 911 but I wouldn't even enter the competition to win that one. My dustbin lid would be a better buy.

Surely someone knows the appraiser??

He's committing career suicide I reckon, needs to make a press release and claim they edited it to make him look a tw@t!

Rather than some poor bugger win it via a competition they should put their money/valuation where their mouth is and auction it via RM.

"handling in a k reg porsche is he kidding, there is no handling they were known for being tail happy because the engine was too far out over the rear creating a pendulum affect, where the hell you get this guy from, he's being in this classic game since he was a kid ha stick to your matchbox cars you played with you know naff about classic cars. and where a seat belt we'd have a fine and points if we refuse to wear ours"

Jon - you're not going to learn any more tricks of the trade, other than maybe watch how they do it then do the exact opposite.

You cannot properly restore a car in three weeks, because you have to wait for the correct parts / have them refurbished correctly, its an artisan trade where you pick your experts and generally have to wait, good people are always busy. KS's article in current issue 911 & Porsche world and what Keith is dealing with is real life restoring. I think it would be great to see what the car would fetch at an auction ?? Or you
need to be very careful of yourself, with what you end up with.

I'd rather have the earlier engine ... & prices for the early impact bumper cars are already 'on the up'

I have not had the pleasure of seeing this TV genius yet! But we are working on a 76 car at the moment and I am really enjoying it, it's rather cool. Plus it is the best 911 she'll I have yet had the pleasure to work on.
