The Regional Directors report in the current Porsche Boast makes great reading. Its a pity the author didnt read it before he sent it to print.
In one he states he wants to "add democtraic opinion" to regions and subsequently twice states "I have decided". A true democrat.
Helen you have my total sympathy. He feels free to appoint some guy to R18 without asking the masses but you have to be tested.
I dont know the chap but he comes across as a total plonker and a control freak.
He has clearly set out his stall to change RO's where he sees fit and appoint new ones as he sees fit. What about letting the region appoint their own RO. But that would be democratic we dont want that.
It is no surprise that the majority of members dont want to get involved in all this.

Have they discussed what, if anything, is in it for you?
Or are you supposed to just hand it over?
And if so why?
So many questions

i don't want anything out of the club (just as well as i never got anything)but i have always been happy to give up my time and money for the PCGB. and if Bob Lovelace retired from trashing the regions then i'd be happy to take the reins of region 8 up again.
if someone else is happy to work with Bob Lovelace then i'd be delighted to hand over all the clubs clobber thats filling one of my garages and help them in what ever way i can..
i mean lets face it they would have to have a screw loose so would need all the help they could get

they just dont like members to have a joke and a laugh on the forum and helen was spot on at it i used to enjoy the pcgb forum when we all had a laugh and a joke and certain piccys of a RO on a bed with a porsche sign wasnt the pcgb sort of thing
so i reckon they just didnt want someone like yourself helen to be seen organising regions hence why they want you to re apply
i say let them go they are digging there own grave anyway and for them to say that we wont be around for long perhaps its the other way round
