I think that's fair enough, it was the 'valuation' that raised eyebrows.

Not to worry, I think we've re-established that the car is well worth a look 8) .

If you mean a "valuation" of £10K, that's what cars like this were worth when mint originals were worth £15K not very long ago (say 5 years). I wasn't tying to imply it was still worth £10K in today's market. I think the asking price is reasonable from the description. I also thought early 911s were bargains of the century for many years and now they're just starting to find their true level.

Yes, it's amazing: you look back in magazines of not so very long ago and the prices are unbelievable.

Looks like it's sold now anyhow. Shame, I did have my eye on that - just didn't have to chance to go and see it.

Cheers, Ross.

Ah, that would be me!

The car looks stunning and drove really well imho although I'm not as confident behind the wheel as Tim. Give me time though....

Special thanks to Tim for putting up with me and my captain slow Volvo for the 5 hours to and from Ipswich.

Congratulations! Looks great, especially in Gulf Blue. And certainly a bargain compared to an original 2.4T or E.

I'm still grinning and I haven't taken posession yet.

I don't know what made me smile more on the day: the vendor not wanting the keys to my Volvo as collateral when we went for the test drive, the boxster driver who ignored us waving hello at him whilst on the test drive or just the thrill of driving it. Easy choice, just driving it.

Thanks for the comments. I look forward to meeting you all at future DDK events.
