Things are moving fast Darren, I get excited when I see you have updated this thread, It must be great driving down to see how things are progressing.
Cant wait to see her in the flesh.

Looking amazing Darren....Alan & Chris have made fantastic progress since we were down there less than a week ago.

I can't wait for the next set of update photos......as you say they may finish up by next week at this rate!!

Collected my car from Canford Classics who have got it rolling again Still a fair bit to do but the shell now looks like a car again and there's plenty of nice details….









And ready for the journey home ….



Hopefully the car will have the engine fitted in a few weeks time; can't wait

Pretty standard E spec Mark but with 85mm pistons and 10.5:1 compression - I hope to show the final build of the engine and list complete spec soon.

I've spoken to countless people on this and nobody has ever seen one on this age of car, even Jochen Baden at Porsche Classic told me it wasn't available. And yet it's a correct matching VDO item, date stamped 11/72 the same as all the other gauges, the bracket that holds the relocated hazard switch looks manufactured for the job and I know it was fitted in Germany and was in the car when it first came to the UK in the early 80's. Who's to say it shouldn't be there.

For a car that's going to be pretty much original standard Porsche specification it's nice to have at least one totally unique individual feature - and to think at the beginning I was going to bin it as it wasn't a correct!

nope, no chance of that, have become quite taken with the warm White colour recently,what with yours, John's and Sanjay's RS....my etype was originally old English White before being sprayed black in the early 80's...not sure if the White suits them as much as it does the early 911's though
