Oct '67 = MY68. Did you mean Oct '66?

Just taken a look at the Dr B. Johnson's book:

The rain drains were rerouted at some point after the '67 models were introduced

There's only one gold colour on the '66/67 colour list - Lido Gold. Here is an example:

John bought the car as a present for Cynthia - the registration number was something like GAN 7E ...

The car parked at Kenwood, 19 February 1967.

If that's GAN 7E it was registered between January and July 1967 in West Ham, London.
