Well, that idea went out the window and the car will be receiving a fair few fun mods….however it still has to be solid, straight and true and obviously 'period correct'…..including the back-dating of the sills….

Well you learn something new every day, had not noticed that difference before, do you know what year they changed from round to square drain holes?

And talking of fun stuff, I've been assembling various items as I go along…..

….Bosch battery kill switch, Hella clear glass lenses, perspex rear quarter windows, lightweight handles with SWB locks…

…and best of all, refurbished custom gauges (North Hollywood via Canford Classics) including 180MPH speedo, offset 10K rev counter and modified fuel/oil gauge….

Fancy splitting costs and getting someone to do one of those Heuer chrono type mods for the clock??

Looking great Darren. That shell has been a bit of a challenge. 19mm off centre;
that's one bent shell. Amazing what Barry does to these cars.

loving that fuel light and the offset tacho. Cool details.

…don't think I can wait for the Mongrel so will give them a test run in the E when I get a chance.

Michael at Vintage Seats has been a pleasure to deal with and the quality, construction, weight and finish of his seats is just superb……think I need a second set for the E! :roll:
