Had a bit of time today to share some update photogs.

First time I've seen the scheme from any distance (only got one decal a bit skewed but I've got a spare).
Also the refinished wheels, not to every ones taste but I like industrial and functional.
I've started wiring it too so only another few years and it might be finished.

Quick update but sans photos , I think I've finished all the wiring. I say think because I have really struggled to understand connections between the front of the car and the engine. The help of you folk and in particular impmad has been invaluable . I have left a pull thro cable in the front to rear duct in case I've missed stuff. Now I need to turn up some nice earth pillars and connect each lamp to the loom testing as I go. If it all works some loom wrapping and only an engine build to go. I will up load some snaps when there is something worthwhile to photograph

Still looking for some perfect non hydraulic tensioners and cams, S or bumpier non MFI.....

Oh yes it was something of a pain but I hope I'm all done fingers crossed ... Thanks Graham I did speak with Barrie , lovely guy as you said , but as I suspected those parts are all from a CIS car so not suitable but thanks anyway.

Still no snaps but an update, tested the wiring of all ancillaries, minor issues to sort with wipers and some backfeed to the fuel pumps but it does mostly work
Picked up some very dented oil lines from Alan last weekend , I've successfully got them back to shape ( nearly) and am looking at converting to -12 fittings in brass at the ends since the old ones are trash. I've also made some alloy -12 converters in 6000 series alloy which will weld to my later style oil cooler and the original (1975) oil stat I got as scrap from Butzi. This will allow me to make up nice flexible connectors in standard 1 1/16 JIC ( -12) pipe. I have bored the middle of the fittings I made to the max limit so am close to the original pipe bore size. I will do the same with the flexible pipe fittings when I sort them.

Got a couple of 911 missions in the garage for DDK memebers at present but I love making and building so a happy diversion...that and building sheds, log stores and decorating and getting a boat ready for summer... something wrong with me I think.

Still looking for two perfect mechanical tensioners and two scrap ones Also info on bonnet mount spotlights the skinflint version ...Wondering about moulding two shells to use a modern or cheaper reflector.

It looks far better in the flesh than the photos do justice!

I have discovered 4 x hydraulic (84 on) used tensioners on my shelves -at least two of these should be ok , any good to you Andy ?

I might have some 'scrap' mechanical tensioners you can have Andy (will look today) - also have a pair of 'period' Marchal headlamps which you might be able to use in your hoodlamps ... happy to donate them to the cause if they'd work.

Hi, thanks very much . Chris I'm really after mechanical tensioners for my engine but would use a pair of old hydraulic ones to make some chain holders for use during builds ? Andy I could use some good mechanical ones. I would appreciate some snaps of the marchal lamps and any showing detail of how original hood lamps look.
