I can't believe Mike wrote that and no one commented...
Things are slipping around here. Where's the schoolboy humour?

Shouldn't pass (ooh-er!) without comment either
Cheers

well to help anyone suffering restoration withdrawal symptoms while Paul is away on holiday, thought I'd better bring my thread up to date! Progress came to a halt as Neil broke his foot, so only just on the go again.
Last week finished off the suspension and brakes so just about up on it's wheels
Anti roll bar arms will be changed for adjustable RSR one's that are being fabricated at the moment.
more later.......

Good stuff - will stop me going cold turkey while turkis-boy jets off to the land of the free
Having looked at this just after Paul's - can I just check - so you've got no underbody protection on your at all then Mike?

He won't need it when he fits the wheel arch liners

Hi Mark, damm, knew there was something I had forgotten to do!
No it has no underseal, that's what I spent all Christmas and New Year last year scraping off, not a job I'll rush to do again but it was worth it to see the finish now. The 'werks' cars which this is fashioned after and the RS lightweights ran with no underseal, it's heavy stuff and as has been said, it's not as if I'm going to be driving it.........
Here's the rear set up at the moment. Would like in the future to go with proper RSR calipers but in the meantime the trailing arms have been modified so the 930 ones sit in the right place at the back, and using the turbo discs to give me a handbrake. Standard spring plates now to be 'period correct'

Mike:
These pics look like they are out of a Porsche sales brochure for an RSR. You are putting the rest of us knuckle draggin' parts washing types to shame.
I want you to leave something on the car that I did....maybe just print my name with a magic marker on the bottom somewhere....
Beautiful work! Keep the pics coming...they are truly inspirational.
