I love those 16" wheels!
Where did you get/buy those Porsche 5x205 centers?

Now I recieved the other 6,5x16 pair for the front from the rimworkshop narrowed to 5,5x16. I'll just have to replace the centers now myself.

Finally got the narrowed front rims back from the workshop. So now I have 5,5x16 for the front and 6,5x16 for the rear. Also cut out the Golf/Bora centers out of them and started preparing them for the 356 centers.
Here I have one of each now. The offset will be about 10mm less than in the picture on the final installment.

They will most likely never leave me ever. Pretty sure these will be once in a lifetime for me.. So far I've paid 245€/wheel and they're not yet finished...
And btw I have another project these will go on the day the 356 will be sold...

Now ready for welding. Just some fine adjustments before that. Two 5,5x16 and two 6,5x16. First have ET37 in the picture and second ET42. But today when I test fitted the 5,5's in the front I think I will move the rims a bit further in. Giving at least ET42 in the front too…

Love the steel wheels. Original but with a twist. Are you going to run low profile tyres?

Yes. The 16" makes it possible.

Well, plan on using 195/55 in the rear, possibly 205 if they fit without rubbing. In the front I will probably go for 175/55. :D

I've been considering to modify the floors as the rears are still lower than front but not really nicely patched…
So today I took the sawsall and there was no point of return after this…
And then I took some sheet metal and gave them some new shapes…
Passengerside test fitted before cutting the floor…
After this I first cut out the driverside as it was more patched and worse to cut out neatly..
Now tackwelded.
Also tried out the seat after the floor was tacked. Just to confirm my measurements was correct…
